I woke up at 10:30am today because my Physics exam is scheduled to start at 12:30. I read the Bible and didn't fall asleep, got dressed, had some breakfast, mucked about on the computer for a bit, and left at 11:45. When I arrived on the fourth floor, I didn't see any of my classmates. I checked my notebook to make sure I had got the right floor, and I saw that my test was indeed at 12:30 on the fourth floor, but it was on Thursday, not Tuesday.
When I got home I watched The Ugly Truth with my younger siblings. It was better than the Metacritic and RottenTomatoes score had led me to believe. My mum decided to join in halfway, which was awkward, but not as bad as the time she watched Juno with us.
After we finished the show I moved from one screen to the other and watched two more installments of the Up series on Ian's computer. It was really interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. The Up series is now my favorite documentary series. I do not know if I had a favorite documentary series before this, though, so that is a thing. Um, anyway, the Up series basically follows the lives of 14 children who interviewed when they were seven years old about what they wanted to do with their lives and stuff. That was in the mid-sixties, and every seven years they would be interviewed again to and they'd talk about what had changed and what had stayed the same and stuff, so you'd get to a glimpse into these people's lives and what impact their decisions years ago had on them as they grew and stuff, and it's really fascinating. I stopped watching at the start of the installment from 1991 where they're all 35 years old. I'm going to continue watching tomorrow or something.
Tomorrow is Engineering Mathematics Applications day. I will not turn on my computer until I have done all my leftover homework and revised all the material. I've got at least three hours worth of work, I think. At the very least I'll revise and highlight and do the excercises in the frames that I haven't completed, and then if I still have time I'll do the test exercises and such.
Back to today, though. After I stopped watching 35 Up, I moved to my computer and the third screen of the day. I was interrupted when I heard 2012 playing nearby, so I went to join Ian in watching it. It was either a pretty low quality DVD rip or a pretty high quality bootleg, but the end result was good enough. The only problem was that all the location names were in Russian and there were no subtitles for the non-English bits, but I got the gist. The movie itself was not as dumb as I thought it would be, although it was still pretty dang stupid. It was really enjoyable, though. There was a sufficient amount of explosions and stuff got destroyed real good, so I appreciated that. Also the characters who knew they were going to die generally made sure to tell their loved ones that they loved them, which was good. I always find myself wishing that people who are going to die or going to risk their lives would tell the people close to them that they love them. I feel that once that's done then it is a lot less worse if they do die, because then at least the people who will be mourning them knew that they were loved. This is the reason why I regularly tell my parents I love them whenever I'm about to go anywhere on my motorcycle. So yeah, fun movie, kinda dumb, but that's forgivable because it was all about the action anyway.
After 2012 was over I talked to Hannah for a while about our cats and stuff. One of the things I talked about was how mattresses on the floor are better than beds. I'm not really sure why I feel this way, but I much prefer sleeping on a mattress on the floor than a bed. I guess it's cozier.
Oh yeah, during the movie I got a call from Madam Esther. She asked why I quit BB, so I told her. Somehow she managed to convince me to join again, so now I am back in BB. I told her I'd just stay for the first few months of next year to help her with her plans for the company, and then I'd probably leave again. She was okay with that. So I guess I'm in BB again. I guess it was nice to have two weeks off, even though I was going to miss those weeks anyway because of replacement classes and finals. Oh well.
Also, my mum said that our church won't be having an overnight prayer meeting on New Year's Eve this year. This is excellent. I've always disliked New Year's Eve because of those meetings, since I only get along with a couple of people from church and I find the rest of them either annoying or uninteresting. Now instead of spending the start of the New Year in my room on my computer I can invite friends over and have a party or something. I think I'll mass-text everyone with an invitation after my Engineering Mathematics exam is done, since that's the final final and the end of my second semester. I think everyone else has plans for the night already, but it can't hurt to try. Even if none of my friends come, Ian's friends will probably come over for a party. I will do my best to make sure that that party involves a large amount of junk food and candy, because I like junk food and candy and I think other people do, too.
I wonder if I really will end up swimming everyday or taking a walk to the KL Tower during the semester break.

I Should Have Been Working on My Research Paper and BB Responsibilities, but I Went to the All-American Rejects Concert Instead
It was awesome. I'll give the day in list form first and then maybe get back to it and expand it later because it's late now and I am really tired
-Woke up and went to BB
-Rather lousy time at BB
-Found out what my new responsibilities are.
-Made a to-do list.
-Found out the name of Elo's mystery texter from Friday. I don't think I mentioned him in the last post.
-Got another survey filled to replace one with slightly odd results, ended up pissing off my brother for delaying them.
-Got stuck in a long jam home.
-Called Hitz.fm after mishearing that they were giving out tickets. Brothers were initially skeptical about the call.
-Got home
-Saw Hannah get RM50 from Mama for the concert
-Left home quickly with Jan and Hannah to get them to their concert.
-Used all the money in my wallet to fill the car's empty tank.
-Went home to get my phone and tape the broken antennae to the roof of the car so it wouldn't fall off.
-Strugged to find the venue for the concert
-Argument over the RM50 of concert money that Hannah had given Jan to take care of.
-Call to Mama to settle argument.
-Figuring out a solution.
-Applying solution by leaving Jan in line while taking Hannah home to charge her phone, get her wallet, buy some food and drinks, and withdraw some money.
-Returning to Jan several hours later. Dropped Hannah off and went to park the car.
-Realized Hannah had left her phone in her bag, which was in the car.
-Found Jan
-Went looking for Hannah
-Asked event organizer to make an announcement telling Hannah to meet us at the VIP entrance
-Left Jan to wait at the VIP entrance while I went to look for Hannah.
-Found some dudes selling extra tickets. Bought one.
-Got a call from an unknown number, it was Hannah.
-Arranged meeting spots in case we got split up again, went into concert.
-Observed how shitty the VIP area was, asked Jan and Hannah to come over to the main area so we could get close to the stage.
-Went off alone when they said no.
-Met a bunch of Form 3 girls about five rows from the front and discovered that I was surrounded by their schoolmates.
-Waited with the girls for the concert to start
-Concert started, awesomeness ensued.
-Waited half-an-hour for the All-American Rejects to start their set.
-All-American Rejects started their part of the show. Was almost beyond awesome.
-Caught a bottle thrown from the stage.
-Carried a girl on my back during "I Wanna" after she asked for a better view.
-Carried her again during "Mona Lisa" when Tyson climbed down to find a girl in the front to sing to. He didn't pick her, but we still really really close to him.
-Concert ended.
-Watched the girl I carried find an AAR pick on the floor; gave bottle to one of the other girls.
-Introduced girls to my siblings before saying goodbye.
-Drove home, Jan was being very unpleasant the entire trip, to understate the problem.
-Stopped at Mid Valley and gave Jan the option to either apologize or get out and find his own way home.
-Hannah called Papa who told me to come back and said he'd talk with us.
-Went back home, got talked to.
-Shower. Realized I was covered in glitter from the concert.
-Computer
Have I ever returned and expanded a list-form post? Probably not. Oh well, I'll try to make this one different from the rest.
Edit (13/01/10): Huh. Still haven't expanded that list. I added a new tag to the post, though. I guess it's a start.

This Post Should Be Longer
So. Awards Day was today, as were a couple of replacement classes at college because of last Tuesday's holiday.
Awards Day was good. I got a whole bunch of badges, including a one-year-service badge I had forgotten to request four or so years ago and have been waiting for ever since, and my certificate of completion for Basic NCO Training Course, which I had been waiting for since '07. Lots of people got promoted, including my younger brother Jan and a whole bunch of my friends. I'm still a lance corporal, though, but you couldn't argue that I deserved a promotion anyway. Oh well, there's still a chance at promotion if I buck up before Enrolment Day.
On the way back home, my dad made a deal with me. If I got a date for the college ball, he'd pay the full ticket price, otherwise he'd only pay RM80 and I'd have to cover the extra fifty. I'd already been approached by one of lecturers, Ms Usha, who asked if I wanted help getting a date. I agreed and now she's out looking for someone who'd make a good match for the night. When I met her today she said it was a "work in progress". I am cautiously optimistic.
College was okay. It was a replacement for Tuesday, so all the classes were held at the same time in the same place. Tuesdays are my busiest day, with classes from 8am to 6pm with only a one-hour break the whole time. Fortunately my eight o'clock class was not on, neither was my twelve o'clock or three thirty class. All I had were Critical Thinking Skills at 9:30, which I had to miss and will be replacing this Monday, and English at two o'clock, which ended early because everyone was tired. After English I found a bunch of my friends playing hide-and-seek in one of the darkened classrooms and joined in. It was pretty fun. My friends seem to have been playing some pretty childish games lately. The other day we played Pepsi Cola and a rather interesting game of Truth or Dare.
So yeah, that was my day. I also found out when I got home that one of my friends had met Boys Like Girls yesterday night to celebrate her birthday eve. I cannot believe I did not know Boys Like Girls were going to be in KL yesterday. I need to stop missing opportunities like this. First it was the Hitz.fm crew at Mist, now Boys Like Girls. At least I still got to go to the MTV World Stage mosh pit and the fashion show at Mist, I guess.
