I Passed Physics

So yeah, I got a pass for Physics II. I am very glad. I also got a Credit in Psychology, and a Distinction in Finite Mathematics. I could've done better in both, but it was mostly my fault for screwing up Psychology, whereas I would've done better in Finite Mathematics if I had a more helpful lecturer.

But yeah, I'm done with my Foundation in Science. Now I've got to research jobs and universities and stuff to see what I should do in the future. Eh, should be fun.

Anyway, I did a lot of stuff recently. Hannah and I went to a wedding with our mum. I was helping out with traffic, so I got to wear a cool reflective vest. I also had to tell people where to park, but most of the time the others guys took care of that, so I got to sit around. It was pretty nice. I was the first person the bride greeted at the wedding because I was standing nearby when her car pulled in, so that was cool, too. During the wedding, right after the vows were exchanged, there was a tremor of some sort. It probably had something to do with the construction site next door, but it was still pretty cool. After the wedding there were loads of cupcakes instead of one big wedding cake. I ate a whole bunch of them, they were really good. After church on Sunday I was given an ang pao for helping out, which was pretty sweet.

Also, I went with my dad to Ipoh. I had to drive him there, and then I had to drive him back. I thought I would only be driving one way, but that was not the case. We had some John Denver CDs, though, so the ride wasn't that bad. I didn't do much in Ipoh. There's a wireless connection in my grandparents' house, so I just spent most of my time online with my dad's laptop. I also went out for dinner with my dad and my grandparents and my aunt and uncle who were also staying over. There was also some money, so that was nice.

I went with Jan and Hannah to watch Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D. It was pretty great. The movie started at 10:45 and only ended at, like, 2am or something, so that was also an experience. A few nights later I took Hannah to Mid Valley to go shopping for Audrey's birthday. I found out Ian and Jan were watching Iron Man 2, so I got tickets for me and Hannah and we watched it with them. It was pretty awesome. I have to remember to give Hannah the first Iron Man, and also Back to the Future 3 because she hasn't watched that, either.

We've been eating at Chili's lately. It's made me realize that I don't dislike cheese as an ingredient in sauces, but I still find it pretty gross on its own. For example, the beef queso is quite cheesy, but it goes so excellently with tostada chips that I don't mind the cheese at all. It is delicious. I think I like the chips and queso more than the main dishes. I also tried the fish and chips, and it is my new favourite dish.

I'm midway through the evil campaign in Battle for Middle Earth 2. I've already won the good campaign and I've also won a game of War of the Ring. It upsets me slightly that there can only be two teams in War of the Ring. I much prefer free-for-alls. Oh well. I'm also playing RuneScape a fair bit. It's surprising how many of my old friends are still playing after all these years.

That's about it. I'm enjoying this break so far. Eventually it's going to end, though. I'm going to miss not shaving, although I can't say that I'll miss the "beard" and "moustache" that have resulted from that.

So Now That's Over

I finished my final batch of finals on Wednesday. Finite Mathematics was simple and I think I might have scored full marks on that paper. It did start out a bit rough when I forgot how to multiply matrices, but I moved on and did the other sections first before coming back when I remembered.

Psychology was a bit tougher, but I'll pass. Physics was very tough. I'm not sure if I scored enough to get my 50% or not. Also, when I was studying for it the night before, one of the presentations about atomic physics had a virus on it and that killed my computer by throwing it into a login/logout loop, so that sucked. Later on that day I went with Hannah to visit Amanda and her new dog, and I found out that I needed to score 16/40 on the final to pass the subject. I hope that I made it.

I took my computer to get repaired and I also got an eclair later on with Hannah and my dad. When I got back I watched the new Lost and the new Glee and a bunch of episodes of South Park and Whose Line is it Anyway that Ian had downloaded.

I found out RuneScape had been updated with a new skill which was also for free players, which made it the first new F2P skill since Runecrafting in 2004. I got Jan to try it out but I had to promise not to complain about Avenged Sevenfold for a week, which sucks. At least he has headphones now, so I won't have to hear his music. Ian also tried it this morning, so that was cool, too.

Today I went to watch Kick-Ass with Ian and Jan. It was pretty dang awesome. The censorship was mind-bogglingly idiotic, as usual, but it didn't detract too much since they only censored the black people, Hit-Girl, and anyone who swore at Hit-Girl. Also they apparently did not recognize cunts as a swear word, but whatever. After the movie I picked up my computer from the repair place, and that is why I have it now to type this post with. I've spent the better part of this evening getting my bookmarks together and reassembling my iTunes playlist.

I'm hoping to lounge around for five more days before I start looking for Universities or a job.

Man, I hope I didn't fail Physics II.

Last Class (Hopefully)

Today I ate at KFC twice. Once for lunch after class, and again later on at night because my siblings were eating there too and I wanted a chance to get fresh popcorn chicken (the one I got at lunch was stale). The popcorn chicken was indeed fresh, so that was nice. On the downside, I spent pretty much my entire week's allowance, so that's a bummer. I'd been waiting for the better half of last week to use that money, and now it's gone.

After my last post I found a weird comment in Chinese at the bottom of my blog. I don't know how it got there, but it was all links to spam sites, so I just deleted it.

Also, yesterday I picked up Hannah, Yii Huei, and Rebekah from Sunway Lagoon. It was my last favour for Hannah before she finally let me read the tenth Princess Diaries book, so I was happy to help out. On the way back I tried to take a corner, but I was going too fast so I had to slow down really suddenly. A motorcyclist was going behind me and he mustn't've seen me indicated or whatever, and he ended up falling off his motorcycle when he had to hit the brakes really hard. I stopped for a while to see if he was okay, and he was. I stayed stop to see if he wanted to discuss the matter with me, but he didn't, so we both drove off. That was a bit scary, but fortunately nobody was hurt and nothing was really damaged, so it worked out in the end. I'm definitely going to be going slowly around corners next time.

My progress on Arrested Development has come to a halt. Season 3 is not completely downloaded. Episodes 13, 4, and 5 are all only partially downloaded at 99.8%, 99.7%, and 99.5% respectively. I managed to watch episode 4 because it's an AVI file and those can be played even when they aren't complete, but episode 5 is an MP4, which requires the full file to play. So I have to stop. I'm three hours away from finishing the series. Bah.

Luckily I have Lost, Flashforward, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory to tide me over in the meanwhile. Lost is awesome. I have been following it for six years (One third of my life!) and now there are only six episodes left. I will be sad when it's over.

Oh yeah, today was my last day of classes. I need at least 37% or more on my final to get a High Distinction for Finite Mathematics. I'll need to work even harder just to get a Distinction for Psychology, since I screwed up on our group report and ended up getting us just a little more than half marks for that. It'll be a struggle to even pass Physics, so I don't even wanna think about that. I hope I don't have to retake that subject.

Today wasn't really filled with class parties and photos and goodbyes and stuff. I think I'll save the goodbyes for after my finals. There was one picture, for Finite Maths, which kinda surprised me because I didn't think Mr Chen would be up to that.

Jan wants to come along with me to KK so we can climb Kinabalu together. I've got to check with Carmeni and see if that's okay.

The final Princess Diaries book was really good. I thought Hannah had spoiled the ending by telling me who the protagonist ends up with, and I was kinda upset because I was hoping she'd get with someone else (and also that my sister would spoil the book for me), but it turned out she was lying, so the ending caught me off guard and I was very pleasantly surprised. Thanks, Hannah!

I still haven't done any extra work for my baptism class, and I haven't studied, either. I guess that's what I'll do in the next three days. Yay.

Also, Rebecca from Holland has managed to place in the final ten out of a hundred and so for an essay writing contest by the BBC. I would've included a link to vote for her, but that happened a while back and apparently internet voting has now been closed. The results will be released on the tenth. She's up against some pretty impressive competition, but she did a really good job with her essay. I should know, I helped her with it a bit when it was being written.

I think that's about it for now.

I hope I don't fail Physics.

It's Like the Rain Was Especially for Me

Today I got my results back for my Psychology mid-term. I got 13.67%, which is one of my worst test scores ever, I think. Carmeni got one point less than me, and Joanna got .67% less than me, which means we're tied for overall scores.

I was supposed to study with Amanda during my long break, but she was sleeping somewhere so I decided to nap, too. I only managed to sleep in the DSA for one and a half of the three hours, so I spent the other one and a half writing up my Finite Mathematics assignments.

Speaking of assignments, I've got two for Psychology. I've got to write the introduction or conclusion for our group assignment once we've combined all our parts into one great big report, which is Carmeni's job. I've also got to proofread the end result. Plus, tonight I have to add APA referencing to my contribution. On top of all that, my next reflective writing essay is due next week. It's about motivation or something.

Anyway, I went home as soon as my last class ended because I was very hungry. I was hungry because I didn't spend anything on food. I'm not spending any money until Thursday because of my overspending at the Outback Steakhouse yesterday. But yeah, when I left college it was just starting to rain. I thought I would ride home quickly before the rain got worse, but the moment I was on the road the rain got really bad. I was thoroughly soaked when I got home, but I was all right after a hot shower and some toast. A few minutes later, the rain stopped, so that was nice.

Oh yeah, also, on my morning walk on the stairs I encountered a surprising sight on the eighteenth floor. My cat, Faith, was lying on one of the stairs. He didn't make a noise when I picked him up and and only started mewing once he was home. Silly cat. He'd gotten a bit thinner. Someone must've left the door open. I'm lucky I found him.

Ian downloaded BioShock 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. He's playing the latter, and it looks pretty dang awesome. I'm jealous; I wish my rig could handle it. Oh well, at least I have RuneScape.

Hm. I'd better work on those citations.

Back to Blogging

The internet's been down for the past few days. It got fixed on Saturday, though, so that was nice.

Recently I've been sleeping on the couch a lot more because I'm too lazy to get my exercises done at night. As a result I have to do my exercises and take my showers in the morning. It's not so bad.

Not much has happened. I've played more RuneScape, I guess. That game really sucks a person in. I also e-mailed out my part of the Psychology assignment.

I went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner to celebrate the first half of March 14th (International Steak and BJ day) and it ended up costing quite a lot. It was pretty dang tasty, though, so that was worthwhile.

Monday is the last day I'll be able to work on my Finite Mathematics assignment before I have to hand it in. I've got all the answers, now I just need the workings. I'm going to do them during my break with Amanda.

Also I had this dream where I was making out with this girl in an elevator and after it was over I spent the rest of the night trying to dream it again. It did not happen. That was disappointing.

10th of March, 2010

Some of these posts have dates for names because I can't be bothered to think of a title.

I finished The Lexus and The Olive Tree.

I'm waiting for the latest episode of Lost to download.

I had a Christian Fellowship cell group meeting. It was okay.

I did five hundred of the six hundred words for my contribution to our Psychology project. I think it's good enough.

Denise didn't know I have a blog. That was a few days ago, though.

I played yet more RuneScape. It's hardly even fun, I wonder why I still do it.

I got my allowance today, plus the 83 ringgit Ian owed me.

It's quite really late. I've been falling asleep on the couch a lot lately because I have been too lazy to do my sit-ups and I can't take a shower until I've done my sit-ups and I can't go to bed unless I take a shower, so I end up falling asleep on the couch and waking up an hour or so before sunrise and doing my exercise and shower then. It's all right, I guess.

Poor and Procrastinating

Ian owes me 82 ringgit since yesterday I lent him my Maybankard to fill his car. Maybe I can get my dad to subtract it from his allowance and add it to mine.

Anyway, today I had three classes. Finite mathematics was okay. We finished matrices today and now I'll have to pay attention because everything else is new material. I'm almost done with The Lexus and the Olive Tree, so once that's done I'll stop reading in class. Also, we got our assignments today. We have to hand them in in a week. I've figured out how to solve most of the problems, so I just have to remember to show the working and I'll be fine.

We had a tutorial session in the lab for Physics. It was mostly the same formula with different variables. There were some tricky questions, but Mr Naj helped us figure them out.

Before Psychology, I had another jelly ice cream cup from KFC. It was real nice. During Psychology, Carmeni challenged me not to fall asleep during the class. I failed. I managed to stay awake during the first forty-five minutes and the last half-hour, but I nodded off for a while for the bit in between. We discussed puberty and stuff, so that was interesting.

Back at home I went on the computer for an irresponsible amount of time. I set my alarm for seven o'clock so that I could start some homework, but all I really did was create a word document and name it. Oh well.

I'm still playing RuneScape, although I'm not really sure why.

Today I Had a Lot of Food

Today between classes I went to KFC to buy an ice cream jelly cup, but they didn't have any jelly left. I bought some popcorn chicken instead, and it was nice and fresh and juicy. After that I bought a couple of doughnuts from Donut Empire, and then I got some fries from McDonald's. While I was paying for my fries I realized I had forgotten my doughnut change, so I went back and got that. Also, I bought an ice blended mango drink. It was okay.

When I got home Ian said he'd buy me popcorn chicken if I went with him while he did some tax stuff or something, so I said yes. After I enjoyed my chicken I got myself an ice cream jelly cup, and it was good.

Back home I went on the computer for a long while. I've started playing RuneScape again because I'm bored.

Oh yeah, apparently everyone in Melacca had a great time. They got to eat onion rings and garlic bread and sausages.

I'll have to start on my Psychology assignment soon.

Gyah, I Itch!

I fell asleep on the couch a bit earlier on and when I woke up the Discovery Channel was airing a show about the guy in Indonesia with the tree-like warts all over his body and I felt all itchy all over and that feeling hasn't passed. Ugh, that's unbearably gross.

Anyway, much earlier I had breakfast in McDonald's after my Finite Mathematics was over. It was pretty tasty. I actually ate in McDonald's twice; the second time was with Amanda when she went for lunch. I had fries and a medium drink for the first time in a long time. Usually I just get large. I wanted an ice cream but the machine was broken, so I settled for a drink.

I met Kenneth from my condominium when I was walking to my Physics lab. We didn't have any experiments in Physics today, so Mr Naj just showed us some of the equipment in the lab. I played with a slinky for a bit and then I went back to the main block early so I could take a nap.

Psychology was fun. We were learning about sexual motivation today, so that was of course an interesting subject that everyone enjoyed.

When I got back home I finished the last remaining three episodes of Glee. I drove Hannah and Jan to McDonald's and now Hannah will finally let me read the seventh book, which is excellent. She has two free ride coupons from me, though.

Oh yeah, Carmeni watched Zombieland the other day, so now I'm obliged to watch New Moon as soon as she gets me the DVD. Should be fun to mock.

Last Mid-Term, Woohoo!

So I arrived really early for my Psychology mid-term. There weren't many people around, so I found a nice corner and took a nap. Carmeni woke me up around fifteen minutes before the test began. We did a little bit of studying, but nothing significant.

Carmeni lent me her pen to fill in stuff right before the test started. That was nice. The test itself wasn't that hard. I finished it half an hour early. When I got home I checked to see if I had got a certain case study question right, and I hadn't. It was observational learning, not operand conditioning. Oh well.

I spent most of the afternoon napping on the couch. I dreamt about whether or not my earliest dream of that nap was a dream or not. It was quite mind-boggling. When I finally woke up five hours had past. That was nice.

My dad took Hannah, my brothers, and I out to dinner at Sin Kee. That was pretty tasty.

When we got home I played a few Zero Hour skirmishes. Soon I'm gonna watch some TV and do some exercise, and tomorrow I'm going to watch a movie with Jan and Ian. Hopefully I will also eat some Burger King.

24th of February, 2010

When I woke up I was feeling pretty ready for my Physics mid-term. It went okay, I think. Two of the questions were unanswerable because we weren't given the Young's modulus of steel and the length of a certain spring, but I managed anyway.

After I finished the test, I ate McDonald's and had a jelly ice cream at KFC.

Back at home I took a nap and woke up really sweaty because someone had left all the windows open. It was a very hot day.

Later on in the evening my brothers and I went to baptism class. When we got back I finally beat the last general in the Zero Hour using a strategy I had thought up during the class. That was satisfying.

Anyway now I've got to do my exercise and then I've got to study for the Psychology mid-term tomorrow. Should be fun.

This Post is About Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

So on Thursday I went to college. My first class was Psychology and that was okay. For lunch I ate McDonald's. After that I took a nap for a while, and then I had Finite Mathematics, which was also okay. I read more of The Lexus and The Olive Tree. I still can't tell if I've past where I stopped last time. I got a text from Mr Naj saying that he had an accident and couldn't make it to college, so there wouldn't be any Physics that day, so I got to go home early.

In the evening I think I either gambled some more or drove Hannah some place. Our internet connection was broken again, so we could only go on for a few minutes at a time before it stopped working. Therefore, instead of going online, I played Zero Hour. I managed to beat the level I was stuck on, and the two after that, and so I was done with the China campaign. That was nice. Now I'm working my way through the General challenges.

On Friday I woke up kinda late since I didn't have any classes. At 12:30 I went to Christian Fellowship, where we watched this movie about a drama class in a Malaysian school. It was okay.

Back at home I played more computer and drove Hannah around some more, since she had Ebony over. Hannah and Ebony bought some wax strips, and when they got back I watched Hannah wax her face, and I tried a couple of the strips out on my toes to see how much they hurt. They don't hurt that much.

That night I fell asleep on the couch because I was too lazy to take a shower. I wasn't too lazy to brush my teeth, though, so there's that. I woke up at 5am and moved to my bed, where I slept for another five hours. I took a shower before noon, though, so it all works out.

Today was okay. I finished the fourth Princess Diaries book, which Hannah let me read because I drove Ebony and her around, and then I played more Generals. For dinner I went out with Ian, Jan, and Joel and ate Subway. It was quite delicious, but they've got a three serving limit on the olives now, which makes me sad.

I should have spent today studying for the mid-terms next week, but I didn't. The only subject I'm worried about failing is Physics, though, so I'll just study that intensively on Sunday and maybe do some Psychology later on in the week.

My phone is getting worse. It's having troubles charging. I might have to replace it soon.

I Wish Today Was a Lazy Day

I woke up at six and then I went back to sleep. When I woke up again, it was eight fifteen, and I thought that I was late for my replacement class. I got changed quickly and rode to college. I almost got hit by a car on the way there when I merged without looking.

Anyway, when I arrived in class I discovered that it wasn't my group, and my class wasn't starting until 9:30, so I had almost died for nothing. Also I was wearing lousy clothes and my glasses weren't in and I hadn't even got the chance to brush my teeth.

While waiting for Psychology to start I sat around with my friends and told them why I was early and wearing glasses. They asked me if I had a chance to brush my teeth, and I said I hadn't, but I had a mint instead. They asked if I had a chance to take a shower, and I said I never do, not in the mornings, anyway. Apparently this is unusual. Apparently, everyone takes two showers in a day. I think one at night is enough. How dirty can you get when you're sleeping.

Anyway, Psychology was nice. We watched some commercials and Ms Selena analysed some of us, me included. I also found out that Kelly is full Chinese, which surprised me because she looks mixed. But yeah, class was fun.

After class we had a bit of lunch in Ali Maju, and then I went home. At home I watched Hot Fuzz, and then I took a nap, and then I watched The Invention of Lying.

I'm looking forward to finishing my exercise and going to bed. I'm quite tired.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Almost Eighteen

So today I woke up on the couch. I hadn't done any exercise the before I fell asleep, so I did that, and then I realized I hadn't walked the stairs the morning before, so I did that, too, and then I had some cereal.

College was back after a three-day weekend. I spent Finite Mathematics alternating between nodding off and reading Guns, Germs, and Steel. After that I sat around with Elo and Joanna and Carmeni and other such people. I think we spent most of our time talking about Nick's 21st birthday.

After that I went to accompany Amanda for her lunch. I got some fries while she got doughnuts and fried rice. We talked about what happened on her 18th birthday party and how she went clubbing and got drunk and threw up and lost her shoes and such. Sounds like fun.

When lunch was finished I think I hung around a bit more talking to people about stuff, and then I went to the KPD to do my Physics lab. We were working with pendulums and such. It was okay. I spent a lot of time arranging pins while my lap partners did the experiment. I don't know what I'd do without them.

After Physics I went back to the main block for Psychology. I decided to sit in the back with Carmeni. It was nice.

When I got home I got my Moral Studies textbook to give to Amanda, and then I got Hannah to print out a map to the place she needed to be to pick up the tickets for her Valentine's Day premiere. We then drove around for an hour and a half looking for the place before finding out that Hannah had printed the map to a place in Subang Jaya when her tickets were in Petaling Jaya. Anyway, we went to Amanda's house to give her the book, and then we stayed and ate cookies and drank coke for a long while. That was nice.

Now I'm back at home and I've been on the computer for a long while. My plan was to study for my Physics test on Thursday and also complete my Psychology assignment, but that's not going to happen. I've got the Psychology document open, waiting to be completed, but I've been putting it off by reading a Reddit thread about the craziest facts people know and other random internet stuff. I hope to finish it before I go to bed, but I won't be able to study Physics. I guess I'll do that tomorrow in college.

I'll be eighteen in fifteen minutes. Yay!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Eh, Not Much Happened

Today I woke up and then went right back to bed because I didn't have to drive Hannah because Aunty Rosie was around to do that instead. When I woke up again I ate some roti canai for lunch, and then a spent the next few hours trying to beat the China campaign of Generals.

I left at exactly the right time to arrive in college right when my class was supposed to start. Before I went in, though, I got some chips. As I was paying for the chips, I noticed a packet of mango-flavoured Tic Tacs, and I decided I needed to try those. I ate two every ten minutes during the lecture. It gave me something to look forward to.

When I got back home I let my siblings try the mints, and then I spent the rest of the evening beating the China campaign of Generals. For dinner I had beans and rice and meat, and then afterwards I had a piece of some kind of cheesecake. It was really cold, but really nice.

Ian went off to play poker and I played Stubbs on his computer. Ian had previously reinstalled Far Cry 2 on his computer, which prompted me to give it a whirl. It's still kinda fun. I think I may replay it on the hardest difficulty. Not sure if I want to go for 100% completion, though.

Hannah asked if I wanted to drive her to Bangsar Village. I said maybe. I wonder if she ended up going or not.

I should write up that dream analysis thing I need for my Psychology. Eh, I've still got five days or so.

Two Days in One Post

I did not do much on Monday. In college, a few more people were zapped. At home, I installed Stubbs the Zombie on Ian's computer and played it for a bit. I also watched Fantastic Mr Fox. It was okay, I enjoyed. Hannah managed to cut herself in the shower again, and Jan installed Far Cry 2 on his computer. Also I watched Dirty Jobs and did some exercise and then I went to bed without blogging.

I other stuff happened on Monday but I don't think I can remember. I do recall that on Saturday the air conditioning was turned on, which made it better than all the replacement Saturdays from last semester.

On Tuesday I made the decision to withdraw the RM50 that I had been planning to save. I spent some of it on Subway and some of it on potato chips. Subway was delicious, and so were the chips. I don't think I regret it.

Classes during the two days were okay. We did some meditation in Psychology on Tuesday, and I played with slinkies and springs in Physics.

Other things that happened on Tuesday, too. More people were zapped and back home we had mini hash brown things and breaded fish for dinner, which was delicious. I also installed Command & Conquer: Generals on my computer and played a few missions before discovering that all my saves from the last time I had the game installed were still there. I have saves from 2007. Awesome.

I think it rained on Monday and I rode back through it and got all wet. The could've been another day, though. I know it rained on Tuesday. I decided to stay behind and wait it out. In the meanwhile I talked with Carmeni and Kaminie about foods that I do not like to eat. The were shocked at how un-Malaysian my palate was.

Oh yeah, I also spent a considerable amount of time in Giant looking at the different candies and snack foods. I was comparing prices and wondering if I should buy anything. In the end I decided not to, but it was an educational experience nonetheless.

Man, this post is all over the place. Anyway my dad said we've got to be in bed by 12am every night or else he'll deduct RM50 from our allowance. Also I've got to drive Hannah to some place tomorrow in the morning. I was looking forward to sleeping in, too. Oh well.

Zaps and Naps

I woke up on the couch yesterday because that was where I had fallen asleep. I wasn't woken by my alarm as usual, though. I somehow woke up on my own around four minutes before my alarm was supposed to ring. I took a shower and went over to college. There were replacement classes at HELP because February 1st is a holiday. I brought the laser pointer that I bought at Petaling Street along.

Psychology was okay. Joanna and Denise weren't around, so I asked Carmeni if she wanted to play with the laser, but she had read my blog and knew what it was. Anyway, we learned about sleep and dreams. Appropriately enough, I kinda dozed off a bit during the class.

When class finished I met up with a bunch of my friends, and all of them except Carmeni zapped themselves with the laser pointer. That was funny. We went to Ali Maju's for breakfast and were joined by a few more people, who also all ended up zapping themselves. After breakfast, Amanda needed to break RM100, so I let her buy me some chips at Giant while I paid for her breakfast so that the cashier at Ali Maju's wouldn't get annoyed.

After I had my chips I went back to the hall. I joined a game of hide-and-seek, but we only managed to play one round before the class was claimed for a lecture. Instead, we sat around pointing the laser at people who would come over and ask to play with it, and then we would laugh as they zapped themselves. Arun was the guy who was provoking people to get zapped most of the time. He was pretty good at it. Anyway, this went on for an hour or so. It was very funny. There were a few people who could stand the shock, and even one guy who didn't even feel it, but for the most part the reactions were pretty hilarious, and because the voltage was so minor, everyone was good-natured about it afterwards. We even managed to shock a lecturer.

Eventually the hall got pretty empty, so I took a nap. When I woke up I got a few more people to zap themselves, and then I went over to my Physics class.

I got all my classmates except one to shock themselves, and I got Mr Naj to shock himself, too. Class was okay. I ate my chips while working on problems about spring constants and waves. I finished half an hour early and went home.

At home I watched Religulous and Up in the Air on Ian's computer. They was pretty good; pretty funny. I also took a lot of naps. I did my exercises while watching Time Warp with Jan. I went to bed without blogging because I was pretty tired.

Today I didn't do much. We went to church and my dad tried to get us to fix the internet connection to Hannah's room, but we didn't get far with that. We did make some progress, but ultimately it's still broken. I took a lot of naps.

Apparently Hannah thinks I'm going to get her a Seventeen subscription for her birthday. It's something like seventy ringgit. I wish she was just content with chocolate and jelly beans, like last year. Dang.

A Hit of the Boom

I ate a lot today. I had chips, McDonald's, ice cream, and fries.

I ate the chips during Psychology class. They were sour cream and onion flavoured Cottage Fries and they were merely okay. They cost three ringgit per pack, though, so I'm not buying them again. Roller Coasters are better.

I had McDonald's for lunch. The twister fries were kinda stale. After that I read a bit of Guns, Germs, and Steel, and then I took a short nap.

When I woke up I washed my face with water from the coldest water fountain on campus, and then I went to Finite Maths class. I didn't fall asleep. Instead, I read more Guns, Germs, and Steel. The lecturer didn't seem to mind. Very soon we'll be covering things I don't know, so I'd better start paying attention in class.

Right when class ended I got a text that said Physics was cancelled because of the rain. Mr Naj couldn't make it on his motorcycle, apparently. I decided to brave the rain, and I got more soaked than I ever have before when riding.

I took a warm shower as soon as I got back, and then I changed into something comfortable and went online for a bit. Hannah and Yii Huei wanted to go to Petaling Street and I agreed to take them, so after a while Yii Huei came to tell me that we could go. I got ready, but Hannah was still faffing about on the computer. When we finally got her to get ready to go, we found that there weren't any cars available, so I took a nap while I waited for someone to come home.

Papa came home, so we took his car. First I had to put some petrol in it, and then I got a bit lost on my way to Petaling Street, but we made it there. We parked in an underground car park that Hannah found pretty scary. It stank, but the prices were reasonable.

Hannah and Yii Huei picked up some Ray Bans for ten ringgit each, and I bought a laser pointer for RM12. The original price was RM15, but the guy decided to give me a "special price" of RM13. When I asked for RM12.50, he told me not to worry about the fifty cents. That was nice. He also told me that the laser pointer also had a "boom". I wasn't sure what that "boom" was, but I was hoping it wasn't something to do with drugs, since a few of the other stalls had been selling bongs.

Hannah tried playing with the laser and she shocked herself. Turns out the other button delivers a little electric shock with amusing results. Anyway, we stopped at a McDonald's for some ice creams, and then we went home.

At home we asked Aunty Rosie to cook some of the twister fries that Papa had bought earlier. The girls wanted to go swimming, so I left my laser pointer with Jan and joined them.

Nothing much happened at the pool. Yii Huei and I wanted to go to the sauna, but Hannah was firmly against that idea for some reason, so we just hung around the pool and did nothing.

Jan told us when we got back that he had played with the laser in his curiosity and zapped himself, just like I knew he would. We also gave it to Papa to try, and the girls found his reaction very entertaining. We also got to have the fries that Aunty Rosie had made. They were delicious.

I then went on the computer. When Ian came home, I let him fiddle with the laser, and he, too, was shocked. It was funny.

I'm going to bring it to college.

Early Classes and Unexpected Buffets

My Tuesdays start at eight, so I had to be up pretty early in order to make it to class on time. Before leaving I had a big bowl of chocolate cereal, which was nice.

I was a wee bit late, but that didn't really matter because the lecture started a wee bit late. I fell asleep a few times in class, but that didn't really matter, either.

During the break I went straight to the DSA to nap. I woke up an hour before my next class, and then went back to sleep for the next half hour. After that I went over to help Amanda with her statistics homework. Elo and Arun were playing the penis game from (500) Days of Summer a couple benches over. That was ballsy of them.

When I arrived at the lab, it was empty. I was about to call one of my classmates to check if there was actually a class being held, but then Mr Naj arrived. Anyway class was okay; we did some experiments with springs. It was kinda fun.

Once we had all the data and sorted out our graph, I left class and went back to the main block. I mentioned to my friends how hungry I was and how unfortunate it was that I couldn't go to McDonald's because of how little time there was left before class, and then someone pointed out that the marketing students were selling food, so I went over to them. They were indeed selling food. Because they were closing shop soon, they had a special offer of RM5 for an unlimited amount of food. I paid and ate a lot of nuggets and sausages. I also got a free cup of Pepsi. When I was done with the mini-buffet I bought some corn-in-a-cup from the table over and went to class.

Psychology was nice. We learned about perception and optical illusions and such. The class ended half an hour early, so that was nice, too.

Back at home I took a long nap. Later on I realized I did not have any more pages of Psychology to read, so that was nice. I did a hundred sit-ups and a hundred push-ups. Apparently sit-ups are bad for the spine, so I'm going to switch to bicycle crunches once I figure out how those are done.

I had pineapples and chocolate ice cream for dessert, but not together. A long time ago when my age was still a single digit, I ate a lot of pineapple. When I was done I couldn't taste anything for a long while because all the sourness had killed my sense of taste. Ever since then my mouth gets all warm whenever I see or think of pineapples. It's odd.

I'm going to drive Hannah around a lot tomorrow because she and her friends are doing stuff.

In a completely separate topic, it seems that every time I come home and get comfortable by taking out my contact lenses and changing into shorts, someone wants me to drive them somewhere. This seems to happen especially often if I hesitate before taking out my contacts because I'm not sure whether I will be going out later or not. Anyway after I find out that I've got to go drive about I have to put in my lenses and change again or else go out looking like an idiot. A comfortable idiot, but still.

Bleh. I hope dinner is tasty tomorrow.

Cookies and Naps that I Wish I Had Taken

I dropped my phone when I was leaving today. Fortunately it's an older Sony Ericsson model, so it wasn't damaged. I had to restart it because the SIM connection was a bit fiddly, but other than that it was fine. I realized I got a text from Joanna saying that she wouldn't be in college today because of a family emergency and I should pass that information on to Ms Selena. Anyway, I think I'll replace my phone sometime. It's very hardy, but the camera is broken and the screen is glitchy and I don't have a transfer cable and for some ridiculous reason it can only store around 100 text messages, whereas other phones don't even seem to have a limit.

I arrived almost fifteen minutes late for Psychology, which is the latest I've arrived for a class except for that one time last semester when I was an hour late for Advanced English because I was listening to Juria's birthday story, I think. Anyway I was lucky because Ms Selena was just starting the class when I arrived, so I told her that Joanna had a family emergency and wouldn't be coming today and then the lesson began. We learned about the eye and other sensory organs. We were told that people can taste stuff with the inside of our cheeks. I tried it out with a Nano Nano. It's true, we can.

After Psychology I had a nice long break, so I went with Amanda to McDonald's. It was still too early in the day for the lunch discounts, so I just ordered some twister fries and we shared those. When lunch was over we went back to Amanda's place because she was kinda sick of college and our next class wasn't until two o'clock anyway. In Amanda's house I had some really yummy butter cookies. They were the same kind as I had on Christmas, and they had maintained their level of deliciousness in the weeks that had passed. Amanda and I sat around talking about guys and their intentions, her family, and movies that, oh my goodness, I had to watch (Amanda's words, not mine). She actually wrote me a list of movies that she loved and I needed to watch. I haven't even heard of most of them: A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, The Sweetest Thing, Stepmom, Simon Birch, and Sleepers. Anyway I took a quick nap on the beanbags in her living room and then we went back to college. At college I realized I wasn't hungry for McDonald's any more which meant that Amanda's cookies had saved me RM12, which was nice. I did buy some nuggets from the marketing students because I like eating meat and helping marketing students. I spent the rest of the break talking and napping and eating tiramisu that someone had bought. The tiramisu kinda tasted like bananas.

Physics was okay. We learned about springs and waves, and the concepts were pretty easy to grasp.

Back home, Faith was lounging on the couch in a ridiculously cute manner. I woke Hannah up from her name to come over and see him, but he had moved. Anyway because I woke Hannah up, she had me take her to drop off her phone for repairs. She also wanted to go pick up her iPod, but I got her a slurpee instead. Of the RM50 that I withdrew on Saturday, I have RM10 left.

When I got back home again I took a nice long nap. After that I went on my computer for a bit, then I read the last few pages of my Psychology textbook, and then I exercised for a bit. I'm a bit surprised at how quickly I managed to finish reading my Psychology textbook. Also the sit-ups and push-ups are becoming easier to do. I did seventy-five push-ups today. I think I'll do a hundred tomorrow and maintain that. I might up the amount of sit-ups. I think I can feel an improvement.

My arms have been trembling slightly the whole time I've been writing this. I'm going to shrug that off as the after-effects of the push-ups.

When I wake up I'm going to wash my face so I don't fall back to sleep again, and then I'm going to have some cereal.

If I end up going to Amanda's house some other Monday, then I'm going to be sure to eat more cookies and spend more time on her beanbags. Her family has a very comfortable living room; I want to spend more time napping in it.
